Actually I have no sound at all. Originally could not install Ubuntu 8.4 at all on my new mini Notebook HP2133. Only 8.10 made my display available. But still have NO SOUND with all applications...

Hello, i can confirm this bug, in ubuntu 8.10 - full patched
I just had it when running hardware test wizard, and banshee was running in the background (not playing sound though)
I have the audigy 2 sound card x64 bit, kernel 2.6.26.5-generic
I have attached my crash report
