Bug Description

I am running Hoary on my laptop, and control it via remote X from a Warty box
right next to it. While running hwdb-gui, the client does the sound test, then
will not continue through to the video tests.

Here are the errors that appear on the terminal:
Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display "dhcp10-200-200-33.schweeb.org:1.0".
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/hwdb-gui", line 62, in <lambda>
    self.advance.connect("clicked", lambda w: self.adv(self.xmlfile))
  File "/usr/bin/hwdb-gui", line 477, in adv
    set[2] = set[2]+self.get_xorgdata()
  File "/usr/bin/hwdb-gui", line 152, in get_xorgdata
    return retval
UnboundLocalError: local variable 'retval' referenced before assignment

I realize it's not realistic to actually detect the currently used video
hardware over remote X, but it would be nice to at least fail in a sane way and
make an attempt to grab the laptop's video hardware in some other way.
