Bug Description
I am running Hoary on my laptop, and control it via remote X from a Warty box
right next to it. While running hwdb-gui, the client does the sound test, then
will not continue through to the video tests.
Here are the errors that appear on the terminal:
Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display "dhcp10-
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/
self.
File "/usr/bin/
set[2] = set[2]+
File "/usr/bin/
return retval
UnboundLocalError: local variable 'retval' referenced before assignment
I realize it's not realistic to actually detect the currently used video
hardware over remote X, but it would be nice to at least fail in a sane way and
make an attempt to grab the laptop's video hardware in some other way.
