Hi Stephane,

Could you give a little more information about what you were doing when this crash occurred. This bug is titled as a problem with adept but the crash report suggests that it was hwdb-kde that failed which is the kde interface to the Ubuntu hardware database. Could you describe the steps you took when the crash happened so we can try to re-create the bug and figure out what happened.

thanks,
Richard

Stephane, Richard:
From the traceback, this looks like a duplicate of bug 106331. I won't mark it as such just yet - as Richard says, it sounds as though you are describing a different problem from the one shown in the crash report.

[I think this is a common problem with apport. When, as with this hwdb-kde bug, the program 'crashes' in a way that isn't obvious at the time, apport will confuse the report with other, later crashes]

I'm with Dan on this one. The tracebacks are identical I think it's just a confusing bug title so I'll mark this as a duplicate of 106331
