Ubuntu 13.10 missing daemon initialization scripts for hv_vss_daemon.

Hi,

It appears that Ubuntu 13.10 does not include a script to initialize the hv_vss_daemon. The script should be just the same as the one for hv_kvp_daemon.

The hv_kvp_daemon init script hv-kvp-daemon-init is just a symbolic link to /lib/init/upstart-job

Creating a new symbolic link titled hv-vss-daemon-init that would start the daemon /usr/sbin/hv_vss_daemon_{version number} should solve the problem.

This bug is missing log files that will aid in diagnosing the problem. From a terminal window please run:

apport-collect 1235025

and then change the status of the bug to 'Confirmed'.

Logically this should come from the same place as the existing init scripts. Passing over to the appropriate package.
