Bug Description

Binary package hint: hunspell

The luxembourgish language is aviable now on Ubuntu. It would be nice if you could put "Michel Weimerskirch"s hunspell on Ubuntu natty. For information the package is in EUPL-Lizenz. To get the package you have to enter in the terminal "sudo wget http://downloads.spellchecker.lu/packages/Ubuntu/spellchecker_lu.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/spellchecker_lu.list" to get the source where the package is and then as usual update the sources of Ubuntu with "sudo apt-get update" and then install it with "sudo apt-get install hunspell-lb-lu" . Sorry that there is no other way to get the hunspell package easily.... If I posted the bug on the wrong place tell it me too.

Sorry I forgot to tell in which exact licence the hunspell is, it is licenced under the EUPL V.1.1 .
I also now added the deb present on the link. But it tells me if I install it without the source, that the package is of bad quality, but it works.

Hi. I am the author of the Luxembourgish Hunspell dictionary. The dictionary is under heavy development with a new release roughly every month. I would opt not to include it into a distribution yet, as it would no longer be possible for me to push updates at the same interval. I would prefer to do this in a year or so when the dictionary reaches a stable state.

Although I'm still updating the dictionary every two months, the quality has become rather good, so I would also support including it in a distribution now.
If there is interest in getting this into Ubuntu, I would be interested in maintaining it myself. So I'd appreciate if you would contact me.

The dictionaries are available here: https://downloads.spellchecker.lu/source/ (lb_LU.zip, EUPL license) and there's a .deb repository here (the packages are not signed yet though): deb http://downloads.spellchecker.lu/packages/Ubuntu/ ./

Update: The packages are now signed

wget -O - https://downloads.spellchecker.lu/packages/Ubuntu/pubkey.asc | sudo apt-key add -
sudo wget https://downloads.spellchecker.lu/packages/Ubuntu/spellchecker_lu.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/spellchecker_lu.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install hunspell-lb-lu

(note: there is also a mythes-lb package which is not good enough yet)
