Bug Description

(I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 for ARM.)

According to Emacs' docs, it can use hunspell -- http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/html_node/emacs/Spelling.html .

So, the hunspell package could provide an Emacs Lisp script that would set up the corresponding variables in Emacs for it to find and use hunspell.

Now I have GNU Emacs and hunspell installed, but spell checking doesn't work because Emacs doesn't try to use hunspell. Everything is there, why the need for manual setup?..

The script could incorporate the knowledge from http://stackoverflow.com/q/3961119/94687 on how to setup Emacs+hunspell so that it works correctly.
