Bug Description

Latest Humanity release has some regressions:

* some icons lack borders
(i.e. next and previous arrows in nautilus or mouse and aspect icon in control-center)

* some icons are too much saturated
(i.e user info and print setup in control-center are now dark grey)

Some screenshots of Natty and Maverick icons:

In Unity Dash these regressions are clearly visible:

icons are grey instead of white

Not sure how that is even possible! None of those icons were even touched in the update 0.5.3.5.

Few questions:
1: Try downgrading to humanity 0.5.3.4 , this should probably have no effect and that would rule out humanity problem
2: What other packages were updated at the same time?
3: Please execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:
apport-collect 732427

When reporting bugs in the future please use apport, using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.

I tried to downgrade using 0.5.3.4 and the issue is no more present (maybe something wrong with svg sources?)

Hmm, this is with Unity-2d!

Also, Try downgrading librsvg2-* and see if that fixes it, by downloading the relevant deb files:

to 2.32.1-0ubuntu1 :
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/librsvg/2.32.1-0ubuntu1/+buildjob/2057532

Or to 2.32.0-0ubuntu1 :
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/librsvg/2.32.0-0ubuntu1/+buildjob/1980938

Humanity has the icons as svg files, it might most probably be a bug with the newer librsvg versions.

<pitti> I'll keep the master bug on my list then, please mark it as a dupe (and perhaps add a humanity task to do a rebuild after whatever fix we apply)

Lucazade , can you confirm that humanity-icon-theme (0.5.3.6) fixes the issues you reported? (a screenshot would be nice ;)
