link arrow position inconsistent on folders

Binary package hint: humanity-icon-theme

The position of the link arrow is placed at the bottom of the folder icon whereas all other file types have link arrows placed above(top right) their icons.

Yes , that change for the emblem placement on folders is intentional.
All emblems will be placed at the bottom first. It was fixed for Bug #455879
Unfortunately, there is no way to mention or force the symlink arrow alone to not follow that.

Actually, I think this is fixable. We just need to add a symlink to the .icon file for all mimetypes as well.

We could correct the position for the files too , but not sure how it would look.

marking this as triaged because I can confirm that adding the .icon file fixes this. Actually, marking as In Progress because I'm working on it :P

Marking this as "won't fix" for elementary icons since we're going to let Marlin handle this.
