I think this is a bug, because I'm not the only one on the internet having this issue, and it happens on different hardwares.
In my case I'm using an IBM thinkcentre 32 bit with Lubuntu 15.10. And i have a Intel Corporation 82865G Integrated Graphics Controller.
I was not able to watch any kind of video using any player (mplayer or vlc).
I can't capture the error or reproducing it, because i've already fixed it. But i can say that the main error was:
intel_do_flush_locked failed input/output error
