Muhammad Takdir,

I get the last version from that page hplip 3.10.9 but don't work with Maverick 10.10, I remove that version hplip 3.10.9 and I proceed to install again the version hplip 3.10.6 which work fine in Ubuntu 10.04 LTS but in the New Version Maverick 10.10 don't work too, so both version of HPLIP 3.10.6 and 3.10.9 don't work in Maverick 10.10. My printer do the proceed to print but the paper comes out without images just come plain with nothing on it.

I check in hplip project open source. it don't include the last version of Ubuntu Maverick 10.10 yet, I think that' why hplip don't work yet in Maverick 10.10 because don't have the right driver for this last version.

Just follow wizard from hplipopensource and select for ubuntu 10.04. It will download hplip-3.10.9.run file and while download, instal depend for that file like this,

sudo apt-get install --assume-yes libcups2 cups libcups2-dev cups-bsd cups-client libcupsimage2-dev libdbus-1-dev build-essential ghostscript openssl libjpeg62-dev libsnmp-dev libtool libusb-dev python-imaging policykit-1 policykit-1-gnome python-qt4 python-qt4-dbus python-dbus python-gobject python-dev python-notify python python-reportlab libsane libsane-dev sane-utils xsane

If hplip-3.10.9.run downloaded at you pc and all depend installed, just run on terminal

$ sh hplip-3.10.9.run ..

follow the instruction until pc is reboot and plug HP-k109a, let maverick configure printer and ... printer is ready to print. ;)

HPLIP 3.10.9 has PPD for deskjet_ink_advant_k109a-z in directory ppd/hpcups/hp-deskjet_ink_advant_k109a-z.ppd.gz.
this may happen if ppdc is not generates the PPD from drv file while adding the printer.
Can you please check once by update the cups version.

Thanks,
Naga Samrat Chowdary, Narla

find the bus id and device id of the printer.
run "hp-setup -g bus-id:device-id" and post the output.

From attached "hplip 3.10.9 bug" file i found that installation configuration went wrong.
Ubuntu 10.10 support has been added to auto installation (.run) file after hplip-3.10.9 release.

so, auto installation don't know how to configure properly. installation don't even copied drv files also.

please go to hplip-3.10.9 source directory and configure as follows
./configure --prefix=/usr
make
sudo make install

and restart your machine.
once restarted please configure your printer using hp-setup from terminal.

Thanks,
Naga Samrat Chowdary, Narla
