Bug Description

Installed HP Color LaserJet cp1518ni hpijs, 3.9.2 as found in ubuntu, using System > Administration > Printing > Add Printer and selected driver. Printer is a cp1518ni that is connected to a local area network, and the printer does work.

Trying to print a 5 x8 Index card from Open Office Writer. Selecting:

Printer = cp1518ni
from print properties:
Paper Size: 5 x 8 inch Index Card
Orientation: Portrait
Duplex: Off
Paper Tray: Manual Feed

The guides on the manual paper tray centre the index card. The text partially prints - looks like the alignment is on the left edge of an 8-1/2 x 11 inch paper.

Thanks

FYI, This is a networked color laser printer capable of PS and PCL.

Same problem here. Works fine from OS X 10.4 (which uses CUPS). I noticed that the manual feed notice on the printer display requests LETTER size, even though I set 5x7 as the paper size. In OS X, the manual feed requested CUSTOM size instead. I got the same problem printing from both OpenOffice and Evince, with both having a the page size and print output size set to 5x7. Acrobat uses this command:

lpr -P HP-Color-LaserJet-cp1518ni -o OptionDuplex=False -o PageSize=Photo5x7 -o PageRegion=Letter -o Duplex=None -o InputSlot=Manual -o ColorModel=RGB -o MediaType=Glossy -o OutputMode=Normal

I tried changing PageRegion to Photo5x7 and it made no difference.

I'd be happy to try some new ideas.
