Bug Description

Binary package hint: cups

When I print a PDF-Document (using acrobat reader or evince makes no difference) in double-sided, draft mode hpijs segfaults. My printer prints a half pages and then stops. Printing in double-sided normal mode works and draft non-double-sided mode also works.

As you can see in the attached cups error log in line 1632 and in the below extract of my apport.log, hpijs segfaults:

apport (pid 20531) Thu Mar 26 16:00:39 2009: called for pid 20523, signal 11
apport (pid 20531) Thu Mar 26 16:00:39 2009: executable: /usr/bin/hpijs (command line "hpijs")

Also if you could post your document so I can try it that would be appreciated. I haven't been able to reproduce this otherwise.

Thanks.

I have the same or a similar problem Bug #355554. I have also attached a backtrace, a sample document and all needed information with apport.

I know this this report is newer but since the other contains all the information I guess this one could be marked as a duplicate. Feel free to remove the duplicate tag.

unggnu, Bug #355554 is marked private and has no relations to me. Can you pleas mark it public and assign it once to the Ubuntu package "hplip" (editing the package name where iot is currently assigned to or clicking "Also affects distribution" and also assign it to the upstream HPLIP package by clicking "Also affects project" and choosing/entering HPLIP. Thanks.
