Bug Description

Binary package hint: netpanzer

Updating HPLIP on ubuntu LTSP (edubuntu) is causing the clients to crash. Two behaviors are happening.

1. Any computer that prints is causing a dialog notification box on all machines of what is being printed and to what printer.
2. HPLIP minimizes to task bar. The minimized HPLIP on the task bar is causing the task bar as well as the menu bar to disappear and flash. Only after closing the HPLIP on the taskbar does the client become stable again.

http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/index.html - using the latest HPLIP for photo printer support.

Using currently updated Ubuntu 8.10 LTSP.

Expected behavior is notification of printing only on the client that is printing not on all clients.
