hp psc 750 doesn't print last page complete

Printer : HP PSC 750
Printer Driver: HP PSC 750 Foomatic/hpijs (recommended)
Problem : The last lines of the last page aren't printed and the page isn't ejected.
However when I wait about 10 minutes the last lines will be printed and the page is ejected.
Or when I start a new printjob the printer prints the last lines of the previous job and the page is ejected.
It doesn't matter with which application I print.
The problem exists also in Ubuntu 7 and 8.04.

I have exactly the same problem with my notebook and my HP PSC 750 printer: very often the last page of a print job is not finished and released until several minutes of waiting or until a new print job is started.
This problem occurs with Ubuntu 8.04, 8.10 and 9.04 with the driver HP PSC 750 hpijs [en] (recommended). Instead with Windows XP the printer works normally.

Can you attach a cups error_log with LogLevel=debug after trying to print a few times as described here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingPrintingProblems#cupserrorlog

Please also run the following command on a terminal for some useful printing related debug info:

Confirm bug here too. I have just installed 9.04 32bit on my Wife's PC in dual boot. She is having the same problem. Final lines of the page do not print and/or the paper sits in the printer for "an age" with the printer just saying "printing" on the LCD panel but little or no activity on the print heads etc.

It might only happen on multiple page jobs. I just printed page 1 of a pdf in the document viewer and it worked fine. When it was printing both pages it stalled at the bottom of page 1.

Probably problem inside the driver (not sending EOF or whatever the printer needs to eject the last page).

I confirm that the problem also affects an HP PSC 950 printer.

I'm seeing this exact problem with my HP PSC 720 on Natty Narwhal and HPLIP 3.11.5 (at least that's what hp-check -t tells me!).

From the HPLIP Status Service I get two possible statuses:
1. Device is busy, powered down or unplugged
2. Print job is continuing

It's also the case with me that if I start a new job, the old job finishes printing perfectly. I've never had it simply finish printing after ten minutes though.

Can we reignite investigation into this bug (or could someone tell me if this is a duplicate of some newer bug report?)
