Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-cups-manager
When the suggested PostScript driver is used, every printing attempt leads to a blinking yellow "alert" led on the printer. Only after the "on" button is pressed, the printer starts working. With the hplip driver, the printer does not show this behaviour.

Another example of an HP printer with HP's PPD not working in PostScript mode but working in PCL mode.
