I need a remapper-daemon that can handle modifiers to deal with the special keys on the Toshiba tablets. That would take a key-combo and produce a single keypress; but I suppose it could also take a single keypress and produce a key-combo.

Whilst you /can/ output the sequence Shift-Down, Four-Down, Four-Up, Shift-Up this might interfere with other keys if somebody is holding a shift down already... and is only going to work with keymaps where [$] is on the same key as [3].

It needs is being able to output a symbol directly and that means assigning a new keycode.

Can we just make them load GnuCash...
