Can't resume from suspend/hibernate in Oneiric

Bug Description
Can't use hibernate/suspend with Oneiric because if do I fall into black screen with a text cursor glimmering in the top left corner. After I press Alt+F4 I'm offered to enter my login right there. However, the keyboard simply doesn't respond any more so the only way to continue my work is to restart. The feature used to be working perfectly in the previous release. I'm using HP Pavilion dv5 1164er.
