Resuming to black screen and frozen computer after suspend

Bug Description
Hello!
I have a Lenovo z710 laptop with a GeForce GT 745M graphics card and I'm running a freshly installed and fully updated ubuntu 15.04.
When I suspend everything appears to go smoothly but when I try to resume a black screen with only a single underline appears. The system is completely unresponsive and the only thing I can do is to alt+sysreq+b or do a hard shutdown by holding down the power button.
