Most of the plugins failed to play completely.

mozilla-mplayer sort of worked, but had some problems with aspect ratio.

When I chose to install mozilla-helix-player, it simply asked for installation of missing plugins again after a browser restart.

You will need to install realplayer to make the real video files work at that site

That would be helix-player, would it not?

If not, and I need to install something else, Ubuntu should not be prompting to install these plugins.

At best, it should not be prompting to install plugins that can't play this type of media.

Don't change statuses when both upstream and the ubuntu maintainer sets them.

Are you saying this plugin works for the video in question? Because it doesn't.

Upstream never set the status on this, but instead suggested that gecko-mediaplayer is not expected to play this video. If this is the case, it should not be prompted for installation when this video is accessed in the web browser.

Again, this is not a problem with the front end. If you change again the status I will have to ask for you to be be banned from launchpad.

It is definitely a problem, though, as the media does not play. If you cannot accept that it is a problem with the 'front end', whatever that refers to, can you please assign it to the correct package instead of just claiming it's not a problem?
