Bug Description

The version of Heimdall currently installed on Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS is v1.4.1

This is an old outdated version that has a bug that prevents it from working with certain newer Samsung Galaxy phones. The nature of this bug is that Heimdall is unable to connect to the phone due to "libusb error -7".

This bug is documented on the Heimdall GitHub page at https://github.com/Benjamin-Dobell/Heimdall/issues/209

There is also a parallel Debian bug at https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=800573;msg=5 and a Reddit discussion at https://www.reddit.com/r/LineageOS/comments/9ar7gh/s5_plus_kccat6_step_6_doesnt_work_heimdall_error/e4yjefj/

The solution is to use Heimdall latest version v1.4.2

This latest version worked for me as well, but I had to compile it manually.

The Ubuntu package repo should be upgraded to Heimdall version v1.4.2 so that Ubuntu users don't need to compile it manually to be able to flash their Samsung phones.

1) Release of Ubuntu I'm using:

Description: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS
Release: 18.04

2) The version of 'heimdall-flash' package I'm using:

heimdall-flash:
  Installed: 1.4.1-2
  Candidate: 1.4.1-2
  Version table:
 *** 1.4.1-2 500
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic/universe amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

3) What I expected to happen:
Package manager should be installing the version 1.4.2 instead of 1.4.1-2

4) What happened instead:
Package 1.4.1-2 was installed.
