external harddisk turned off by automatic hdparm -B254 when connected

Bug Description

my external haddisk sets into powersave mode and cannot start after connecting to usb because of hdparm -B254 executed when disk is connected

few seconds after disk connection:

:~$ ps -A -F | grep sdb
user 4408 3539 0 1886 896 1 19:09 pts/1 00:00:00 grep sdb
:~$ ps -A -F | grep sdb
root 4421 4412 0 971 568 1 19:09 ? 00:00:00 /sbin/hdparm -B254 /dev/sdb
user 4423 3539 0 1886 896 0 19:09 pts/1 00:00:00 grep sdb

need to remove hdparm ( and acpi-support ) to connect disk

disk is working well in karmic

affects: ubuntu → hdparm (Ubuntu)

There is no support on such deprecated version; that one has died long time ago.
