Bug Description

The latest updates to quantal seem to have broken some haskell-platform dependency. Doing dist-upgrade wants to remove the following libraries:
haskell-platform libghc-haskell-src-dev

Thanks

Thanks for reporting this issue and making Ubuntu better.

I get an error message about unmet dependencies when attempting to install haskell-platform on Ubuntu Quantal.

$ sudo apt-get install haskell-platform

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 haskell-platform : Depends: ghc (< 7.4.1+) but 7.4.2-2 is to be installed
                    Depends: libghc-haskell-src-dev (>= 1.0.1.5) but it is not going to be installed
                    Depends: libghc-haskell-src-dev (< 1.0.1.5+) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

(Note that before I ran "apt-get update" it warned about roughly 20 packages, so perhaps this will resolve itself soon?)
