Preview plays audio but shows no images, only a black window

### Description of problem or feature request

`Show Preview` plays audio but doesn't show any images, only a black window. I have tried only with DVDs on disk (*VIDEO_TS* directories), around 6 different ones, and it happened the same with all of them.

I always used preset `H.264 MKV 1080p30`. I also tried the following previews: `Fast 1080p30`, `Very Fast 1080p30`, `Normal`, with the same results.

I ran **ghb** from the command line and no messages are output when I try to show a preview.

The encoding works correctly, it's only the preview which is showing no video.

I tried to select different preview frames, but the result was the same with all of them

I have just tried the latest nightly snapshot, **20180121174120-18a4158-master (x86_64)**, and the results were exactly the same.

I have reported this bug upstream and the handbrake team has updated me that the Ubuntu package is known to be broken:

### Steps to reproduce the problem

1. Select preset `H.264 MKV 1080p30`
1. Click on `Open Source` and select any DVD on disk (a *VIDEO_TS* directory)
1. Click on the `Encode and play` icon
1. The preview window will be black, and only the audio will play
