Could the Ubuntu GNOME team have a look at this?

@Amr, Ubuntu GNOME is mainly focussed on the official GNOME apps, however if you can find someome to do the initial packaging (perhaps the guy who runs the ppa?) would be happy to review that. Otherwise try filing a RTP bug in debian ;)

There's an PPA that contains updated hamster-time-tracker packages: https://launchpad.net/~dylanmccall/+archive/hamster-time-tracker-git-daily. This should be enough for those who want to use the current version of Hamster.

It works for the "stable" PPA, the "daily" one crashes on truty for me.

But it seems there's no "hamster-indicator" for this version "hamster-time-tracker" (3.X). If we try to install the indicator, apt wants to remove the recent "hamster-time-tracker" and to replace it by the previous "hamster-applet" package (2.9).

I'm unsure why you're closing this "Invalid" when in fact hamster-time-tracker is packaged; isn't "Fix-Released" more appropriate?

@seb128, to be clear: this bug is a request to migrate from hamster-applet to hamster-time-tracker, and this appears to have been done: hamster-time-tracker is packaged in groovy.

Changed in hamster-applet (Ubuntu):
status: Invalid → Fix Released
affects: hamster-applet (Ubuntu) → hamster-time-tracker (Ubuntu)
