Bug Description

Binary package hint: hal

I am running dapper/amd64. I upgraded to hal 0.5.7-1ubuntu13 and dbus 0.60-6ubuntu6, with a normal apt-get upgrade.

HAL now consistantly crashes
 - on boot
 - on /etc/init.d/hal restart

The fact that it's not there is not as anoying as the fact that when it dies it kills everyting (all login shells, X servers, etc).

I have noted that Debian BTS has something similar reported.
