Bug Description

It is the classical mounting problem of usb key/removable device, i.e. when pluging in the removable device, it appears in nautilus, but couldn't be mounted:

Unable to mount the selected volume. The volume is probably in a format that cannot be mounted.

mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda,
       missing codepage or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail or so

Error: could not execute pmount

Note that the usb key mounted automatically, without problem on the same computer under hoary.

This looks like bug 26338. Can you please do

  sudo adduser hal plugdev
  sudo adduser hal floppy
  sudo adduser hal cdrom

in a terminal, reboot your computer, and check again?
