Fn f8 fails with 8.10, OK with 8.04 on a Dell Inspiron 1525

Bug Description

I can get the crt/lcd switching to work fine with instructions in http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=965861&highlight=crt+lcd. It also worked fine with ubuntu 8.04,but NOT with 8.10.

I can confirm the same. Changing video output no longer works.

There wasn't enough info provided to troubleshoot either of your specific issues, however the hotkey issue has been worked on for jaunty and a variety of general cases are now solved.
