Samsung r560: can't adjust brightness of laptop screen

Bug Description

I have a new Samsung r560 and the brigthness control isn't working at all. Not with hot-keys and not with gnome.
I don't know what information you'll need, but I'm willing to help.
My ubuntu version is the newest alpha

Here they are. I'm tried to press Fn+Up, Fn+Down and Fn+F5 (turns backlight on/off).

Those Bugs describe similar Problems. As the Kernel Log already suggests, one can setup the keys with setkeycodes, for instance in /usr/share/hotkey-setup/samsung.hk .

But even though the Keys are then recognized, pressing a key such as Backlight + or Backlight - the kernel, X11 or whatever thinks one keeps pressing/releasing that button for ever.

Possibly an adapted kernel patch like the one supplied there will work for the R560 as well.

Fn+ hotkeys does not work in Jaunty Beta, it's OK.

Brightness regulation does work using Brightess Panel Applet ONLY when using default video driver (I don't know what one).

When choosing to enable NVidia proprietary driver, Brightness applet does not work anymore.

Plz fix it. I may help.
