Bug Description

Binary package hint: hal

hal init script lacks the 'status' action. It would be useful to be able to determine if the status daemon is running or not by querying:
 * /etc/init.d/hal status

A concerted effort is being made to add status actions to many Ubuntu services' init scripts:

Patch looks good, thanks.

My only minor comment is that we have been adding the "status" to the end of the list of the available actions on the usage statement. Changing that might help it be more consistent.

Thanks,
:-Dustin

As per Dustins suggestion I've moved the 'status' option in the usage statement to the end of the available options.
