Bug Description

Binary package hint: hal

I have A Benq dw 1610 burner and can burn data and music cd's with it, however when I try and burn dvd's with it using brasero or gnomebaker the process starts but no progress happens after a few hours and in k3b gives OPC failed message and no progress after that, and locks dvd drive so I have to reboot to get disc out. It used to work fine until I upgraded to gutsy.

I have nearly the same problem. The difference is that I can burn DVDs but no CD-Rs or CD-RWs.

k3b reported the same "OPC failed message" and the following report: http://ubuntuusers.de/paste/17972/

It was still working fine untill I upgrated to gutsy.
