[gutsy] failed to initialize hal

Bug Description
Since the gutsy updates from about 4 days ago, the system hangs for about 3-4 minutes during boot (right after "Starting system-
If I logout to console, start hal manually ("sudo hald start") and log back to Gnome, it all works flawlessly, so I am betting it is a problem of the startup scripts.
I can tell that all the rc*.d scripts are correct.
I don't know what else can I attach besides dmesg, that follows.

I /can't/ say if it is related, but it is impossible for me to update a tribe 5 installation today.
Everything is blocked while upgrading hal to version 0.5.9.1-ubuntu6 ; I got this message :
"Failed to open connection to system message bus: Failed to connect to socket /var/run/ dbus/system_ bus_socket: No such file or directory
invoke-rc.d: initscript dbus action "force-reload" failed".
