Bug Description

Binary package hint: hal

None. The sounndcard is on an ISA bus type.

ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386
Date: Tue Jul 17 21:34:54 2007
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 7.04
Package: hal 0.5.8.1-4ubuntu12
PackageArchitecture: i386
SourcePackage: hal
Uname: Linux driggs-desktop 2.6.20-16-generic #2 SMP Thu Jun 7 20:19:32 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux

This is probably not a HAL problem. If the device appears in /proc/asound/cards, it should be assigned to alsa-lib. If it is not even detected by the kernel, it should go to the kernel. Could you please look to see if the card is listed in that file?
