Bug Description

Binary package hint: gxine

See also #353053 and #281307

Upgrading 9.04 to 9.10 (originally a mythbuntu installation)

During update-manager upgrade I got error

"Could not install 'gxine'"
The upgrade will continue but the 'gxine' package may not be in a working state. Please consider submitting bug report about it.

subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 139

After pressing 'close':
Errors were encountered while processing:
  gxine
Exception during pm.DoInstall(): E:Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
Traceback (most recent call last):
File: "/usr/lib/python2.6/logging/__init__.py", line 774, in emit
    try:
File: "/usr/lib/python2.6/logging/__init__.py", line 746, in flush
    strm = sys.stderr
IOError: [Errno 9] Bad file descriptor

And dialog box:
"Could not install the upgrades"
The upgrade is now aborted. Your system could be in an unusable state. A recovery will be run now (dpkg --configure -a)

After that, I got message that mythtv-backend service was terminated and the upgrade stopped.
