gxine: no sound if playing after pausing a video and crash if paused again

I have gxine configured to output audio to pulsaudio. It was working like a charm, but somewhere about a month ago after some updates things went wrong. If video playback is paused and played again the sound is gone. If paused once more gxine hangs. I have changed a driver to oss and it works like a charm again. But (if I am correct) since pulseaudio is ubuntu first choice for audio output this should be looked at.

If it is not reproducible please inform me and I will collect all data you need. Do not forget instructions :)
