Bug Description
Binary package hint: gwp
i486-linux-gnu-gcc -Wall -Wimplicit -Wreturn-type -Wunused -Wswitch -Wcomment -Wuninitialized -Wparentheses -Wpointer-arith -Wmissing-
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lssl
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
This package's configure script improperly refers to python's LOCALMODLIBS, which should not be referenced by programs linking with python.

Attached branch removes the reference to LOCALMODLIBS, fixing the FTBFS.
I will forward the patch upstream to Debian pending resolution here.
