Bug Description

I've started using gwibber on Ubuntu 12.04, and it's the only app I have that is SUPER SLOWWWWWW... I cannot even scroll because the app grays out, like crashing out, but then it comes back... That I think is a bug, not sure, but twitter in the browser or facebook works 1000 times better than this. So I had to switch to the browser.
Also, not a bug, but a suggestion? it would be great to have image preview inside the app? or like twitter on Mac that shows you a popup with the image, or something?
Thanks for listening.
Roberto.

I'd like to confirm that on Ubuntu 12.04 64-Bit, latest updates up to now.

And also VERY frustrating: The Gwibber service seems to make the whole system (single core, 1 GB RAM) unresponsive(!) every 15 mins. (standard update interval for Gwibber). The only service I have connected with Gwibber is Facebook.

Gwibber is NOT usable without at least 2 CPU cores and 2 GB RAM I guess. That's a shame. The only workaround I have at the moment is to completely disable the Gwibber service!

Thanks for your hard work and improving things all the time. Remember: A social service integrated in the Unity desktop should NOT make the whole OS unresponsive so BADLY.

Kind Regards,

Dennis

Hi, sorry the delay.
I am now on the final Ubuntu v12.04, also 64-bit, and I am experimenting the same issue.
It just slow to scroll, to refresh, and hangs (grayout) very very often.
Thanks!
Roberto.

I have exactly the same problem. I have a Dell XPS m1330 with 4gb Ram, and 2ghz dual core and gwibber brings it to a crawl when it update twitter. It also scrolls terribly slow within the gwibber window.
