Bug Description
Binary package hint: gwibber
The Gwibber desktop application refuses to open when called even though gwibber-service is running three instances in the list of processes in System Monitor. I cannot open the desktop program to read any messages. The gwibber-service process tends to consistently use between 94% and 107% of one of my CPU cores, rendering all other program slow in their response. Thunderbird, Firefox, and VLC are all affected by gwibber-services extensive processor use. Account setup and Gwibber preferences still function though slowly.
I have been forced to completely remove Gwibber in order to restore adequate performance and functionality to my system.
