Please run in a terminal: rm -fr ~/.cache/desktop-couch ~/.config/desktop-couch and ~/.local/share/desktop-couch and then start gwibber again.

could you please try the suggested steps in the last comment and see if that solves the problem for you. further you could try the latest version of gwibber from gwibber-team ppa https://launchpad.net/~gwibber-team/+archive/ppa this should solve the problem for you too.
