There is a new release available for gwibber please could you upgrade and check if is still occurring? Thanks.

Please upgrade to the latest release of gwibber because is not using desktopcouch database as backend any more (now uses Sqlite) and check if this behaviour is still affecting you, Thanks.

Since gwibber is not using couchdb as Backend any more and the reporter said that is not affected, I will mark this issue as solved. Thanks in advance
