Facebook updates never get sent

I've got my Facebook account set up in Gwibber. I get other people's status updates with no problem, but if I try to send a status update to Facebook nothing happens. The status update disappears from the input box, but never appears in my timeline, on the Facebook website, or in the Facebook Sent view. Running with "gwibber -d" I don't see any messages when I click "Send."

If I try to send a status update to Facebook and another service, it will appear on the other service, but not on Facebook.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Gwibber, type a status update.
2. Select "Send with: Facebook"
3. Click Send.

What should happen: Status should appear in the Facebook, Facebook - Messages, Facebook - Sent, and the corresponding Home views, as well as on facebook.com.

What happens instead: Nothing. The textbox clears with no discernible effect.

Reproducible: Every time.

Gwibber version: 2.30.0.1-0ubuntu3

I have the same problem but it seems this is a problem NO one is going to FIX
