Bug Description

i am using ubuntu 10.04 beta 2 and gwibber 2.30.0.1 updated from karmic

1. twitter is not being updated via either the Me Menu nor the Gwibber interface itself. adding the account was easy enough, but it doesn't seem to work at all. also, the release materials for the Me Menu shows a drawing wherein facebook/twitter icons should appear if added properly to the Me Menu dropdown. neither of these buttons are showing up in mine. see attached screenshot.

2. facebook was added properly through the Me Menu but only as a chat account. the broadcasting account feature isn't working at all because it won't even allow me to add it as such to my accounts list. when i try to do so, i get through the authorization process successfully, press add, but it never adds the account to the left-hand broadcast accounts list. see screenshot.

are these bugs related to the beta or some other problem? if so, should i do a clean install of 10.04?

please respond in laymen's terms. i can follow instructions to copy-paste into terminal, but no expertise in doing anything much more complicated than that.
