Bug Description

Software versions:
Ubuntu 12.10 x86_64
Gwibber + services 3.6.0-0ubuntu1.1 (works the same for 3.6.0-0ubuntu1)

I go to "Add social network account" and add Facebook, it opens a new window which says "Please authorize Ubuntu to access your Facebook account" + Cancel button. Doing this opens an EXTERNAL BROWSER WINDOW which promts me to login Facebook -> promt to allow application (Ubuntu) -> promt for permissions -> BLANK PAGE WITH "Success". And nothing else happens.

gwibber-service.log shows nothing about Facebook, but contains debugging information for gwibber-service-twitter.

I also tried debugging via gnome-control-center --verbose and gnome-control-center. Same results, I doubt this will help solving the bug since the same GLib-GObject-CRITICAL error happens with all account adding operations.

ilari@NAFAC-HP:~$ gnome-control-center
credentials-cc-panel-Message: cc-credentials-account-applications-model.vala:153: No valid plugin found for application 'unity-scope-gdocs' with account '1'
credentials-cc-panel-Message: cc-credentials-account-applications-model.vala:153: No valid plugin found for application 'shotwell' with account '1'
credentials-cc-panel-Message: cc-credentials-account-applications-model.vala:153: No valid plugin found for application 'unity-lens-photos' with account '1'

(gnome-control-center:6380): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_value_unset: assertion `G_IS_VALUE (value)' failed

I'll just point that I have been using gwibber with Facebook fine since Ubuntu 12.10 was released (although only after fixing http://ubuntumisr.blogspot.com.au/2013/02/fix-facebook-not-working-with-gwibber.html). This new bug only started happening a day or so ago. I started getting random web page popups simply containing the text "Success" until I tracked down the problem was due to gwibber and then I found this bug. Presumably FB have changed the way their authentication works.

It was working all right before I tried reinstalling gwibber today, which I decided to do since it was not showing me Facebook feed as it is supposed to do.

So as a side step for cleanly reinstalling gwibber, I decided to delete my earlier working Facebook account for reconfiguration from Online Accounts, and now when I am trying to create a new one from Online Accounts, bang, it shows what is mentioned above in the bug, an external browser window with a Success message, and nothing going forward from there. So it definitely has been introduced very lately.

This does not seem to be at gwibber's end, which is broken in itself but rather from the Facebook's end, since Facebook integration is not working even in a decoupled manner now.

I have exactly the same problem. Indeed these problems really need to be fixed otherwise the bugs wil be a negative impression of Ubuntu.
