Bug Description

This is on the KF5 version of kate (i.e. vivid)

This seems to be a Ubuntu specific issue since it works on my Archlinux installation with the same version numbers installed it works.

Added gwenview and kio since i realized i have the same problem there.

It seems to work when things are installed from the Kubuntu CI in Utopic.

Can't reproduce anymore, i think it was a bug in Qt that at some point was fixed.
