Bug Description

Binary package hint: gvfs

I attached one USB external disk someday ago and have a crash ( I donot remember what happened).
but the label for usb disk partition was changed to x\2OM-^T!M-WtM-VM-ii

I think that gparted and/or gvfsd-metadata do not operate well with this ugly label.
At Nautinus I can mount partition but the label is shrink to x\2O. I can browse, copy delete etc normally.

The crash at gvfsd-metadata seems happen only when I start a gparted ( exactly to change this ugly label)

gparted 0.5.1-1 GNOME partition editor
root@myloginz-desktop:/home/myloginz3# gparted

(gpartedbin:3093): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: cannot register existing type `gtkmm__GtkTextBuffer'
======================
libparted : 1.8.8.git-dirty
======================

I change the label and apply the changes.
The gparted report sucess but do not change the label, after reload the devices , the label remains the same.
