Bug Description
Binary package hint: gvfs
I'm editing php source files directly on remote FTP server. Tried to use GEANY as an editor.
While saving to FTP server a problem occured.
1st save after opening file is always OK,
2nd save and next causes a problem. Saved content is appended to existing file instead of overwriting.
I have checked with server log - APPE command is executed.
It was checked on 2 client machines - using Ubuntu Jaunty and Karmic - same problem occured, and on several ftp servers.
I have posted this problem to GEANY bug report, but guys replied that it uses gvfs, so I'm posting this bug here.

I think that this might be an incarnation of the bug that I am experiencing here:

Except when APPEND is not supported on the server this results in the file being wiped and an "Input/Ouput" error to be returned in Geany. Scite, and cp also fail in the exact same way. gEdit works, but I've been told that because it uses GIO that this handles the problem. So far I can not find a program that does not fail other than gEdit.
This happens across 9.04, 9.10, 10.04-Beta and on 3 completely independent servers.
