Fresh install from intrepid alpha6 ISO within KVM virtual machine, upgraded all packages today. Barely used it yet.

This problem occurred after I did 'switch user', then returned to my default user.

My problem first occurred when I upgraded Hardy to Intrepid and kept crashing (semi)randomly. However a clean reinstall (removal of partitions, repartition, format, install) of Intrepid seems to have resolved this issue for me (at the moment) although I realise this may be a bit much for some people to try.
