Bug Description
I possess a 2TB Transcend external hard drive. Previously, I had Ubuntu 22 installed, and just yesterday, I transitioned to Ubuntu 24. However, my external hard drive is not being recognized by Ubuntu 24 at all, despite functioning perfectly under Ubuntu 22. I also have Windows 10 installed in a dual-boot configuration, where the hard drive operates without issue.
Upon attempting to mount the drive, I encountered an error, which I have documented, although I have discovered that I am unable to select text from dialogue boxes. I intend to report this issue as well.
I kindly request assistance in resolving this matter, as it is of paramount importance for this distribution.
Best regards,
Nima

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.
