Bug Description

I have network shares that mount via cifs in fstab. When my wireless is connected to the network, I have no issues. When my wireless connects to another network where those network shares are not located, I get system freezes (mostly) or application freezes (occasionally). The freezes normally occur when opening files located on my computer (LOCAL FILES) such as libre office, pdfs, or pictures. It also likes to occur on save. It does not happen using thunderbird or firefox unless I open a file or try to save. Another time I was running a script and the script would hang when trying to write to a log file on my computer.

When the system freezes, I have mouse movement and normally do not have keyboard or mouse click response. I have not seen anything reported in any log files. The system sometimes responds for a few seconds every 4 minutes.

When the system or application is frozen, unmounting those network shares or switching network connection to the connection those shares are on immediately unfreezes they system. A switch away from the mounted shares network or mounting those shares freezes the system again.

The freezing does not happen all the time in the above situation, but when it does happen, it is consitent and reproducable by switching networks or mounting/unmounting shares.
