Bug Description

gvfs had a problem once when a user had his home directory on nfs and logging in from two different computers using the same home directory gvfs got into a loop hammering the NFS server.

so ./patches/series:06_metadata_nfs.patch was added to temporary solve this.

Is this really still a problem? it has been years and I'm tired having to compile a local version without this patch.
Do fedora or suse have this ? they used to but I cant find it anymore.

actually I right now found out that it has been fixed with this commit.

https://git.gnome.org/browse/gvfs/commit/?id=6b12c3d7b33c87a7fea228106f39ecf2a3e0f310

I checked the source an this fix is in the version of gvfs in 14.04 making the 06 patch used currently not only ned needed but actively making things worse.
